Meet Your Provider

Hi, I’m James Sabatino , a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). I earned my MSN from La Salle University in 2025.

I have strong experience treating people with acute psychiatric and behavioral health needs in emergency and crisis settings. I’ve worked in emergency departments and emergency psychiatric services, helping patients with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, psychosis, substance use, suicidal thoughts, behavioral crises, and other urgent mental health issues.

During my training, I completed clinical rotations at Ancora Psychiatric Hospital (NJ) and The Behavioral Wellness Center at Girard (Philadelphia), seeing a wide range of conditions in inpatient and community settings — including complex mood and psychotic disorders, anxiety, trauma-related conditions, and substance use disorders.

I provide evidence-based, collaborative care for all ages — children, teens, adults, and older adults. I focus on thorough psychiatric assessment, medication management, patient education, and regular follow-up. I aim to create a respectful, nonjudgmental space where patients feel heard and involved, combining clinical experience and compassion to support better mental health and well-being.

My Approach to Care

Psychiatric care should feel personal, collaborative, and centered around you. I take the time to understand your symptoms, concerns, experiences, and goals so we can develop a treatment plan that fits your individual needs and supports meaningful progress.

Compassionate, Individualized Care

Mental health treatment is not one-size-fits-all. I strive to create a welcoming, judgment-free environment where you feel heard, respected, and comfortable discussing your concerns. You will be an active participant in decisions about your care.

Evidence-Based Treatment

Treatment recommendations are guided by current psychiatric research, clinical experience, and your personal goals. Care may include comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, medication management, education, and ongoing follow-up with adjustments made as your needs change.
